1. Open Internet Download Manager (known as IDM) and go to Options > Connections
2.Change the default max. conn. number to 16 and click on ok.
3. Check if the file downloading speed has been set or not, go to Downloads>Speed Limiter> if it has been set to Turn on then click on Turn off, if not then simply start downloading to check the speed of IDM.
